Starting in May 2006, we initiated a two-stage online application system for exchange programs at Bilgi. At the first stage, the International Office of the partner university nominates Erasmus and bilateral exchange students online. At the second stage, the student nominated will be invited by e-mail to complete an online Application Form.

Exchange student nominations are based on the exchange quotas designated in the Bilateral Agreements. If more students than designated are nominated or students from departments other than indicated in the Bilateral Agreement are nominated, the partner International Office should e-mail Bilgi International Office at intl@bilgi.edu.tr before making the online nomination and request special permission. Admission to Bilgi under these circumstances is not guaranteed.

The deadline for online student applications is June 1 for the following fall semester and November 1 for the following spring semester. Online nominations by the International Office of partner universities can be made starting on April 1 for the following fall semester and the full academic year until June 1. Spring semester students can also be nominated in advance. For the spring semester, online nominations can be made starting on September 1 until November 1. We kindly ask the partner universities to nominate their students as far in advance of the deadlines as possible in order to give their students enough time to complete their applications.

Nomination: When you click "Online Nomination" below, you will be asked to enter your username and password. We will e-mail the International Office of partner universities and give them a username and password for each semester in advance. If you forget your password, you can e-mail intl@bilgi.edu.tr to receive it again. Please do not pass this information on to students.

After you log-in, you will be connected to your access page. Click "Nominate New Student" to view the Nomination Form. On the form, you will be asked to enter information about yourself (the nominating individual), the student's name, contact information, his/her area, level and year of study, the period of exchange and the academic program at Bilgi for which the student wishes to apply. Once you enter this information, you will be asked to save it. After saving a nomination, click "Nominate New Student" to nominate another student or Exit if you are finished.

You will be able to check the status of applications from your access page. You can also cancel the nomination of a student on the same access page, if the student later chooses not to attend Bilgi or if the student wishes to make changes other than in the Learning Agreement. Changes to the Learning Agreement can be made after the student comes to Bilgi at the beginning of his/her exchange period.
